hello,   i working on premiere elements 8 project video class last night (hdv, 1080i 30p) , program stopped responding importing clip. prompted wait response or close program. closed program , when tried re-open project, loading dialog box reaches 100% , nothing.  let sit on 30 minutes , nothing changed.  when clicked cancel after 30 minutes, prompted same "program not responding" box.  other projects open fine, 1 not.  after reading through forums, disabled mcafee , updated quicktime, still having same problem. have 6 gb of free ram , using footage shot on dslr. or advice appreciated project due week.   thanks, jake are able open older autosave version of project? hi. i've been running dual-boot ubuntu 11.04 64-bit , windows 7 64-bit while now, , got new computer. moved hard drives new computer (one had both os's on it, other storage drive) , windows 7 not boot, reinstalled it. used live cd repair grub using boot repair ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/boot-repair ) , looked going swell. when tried boot got "invalid or damaged bootable partition" instead of grub menu. went and, copying , pasting commands program gave me, manually removed , reinstalled grub on ubuntu partition. same error. so, backed documents onto third drive, wiped out, , started again. installed win7 on 1 drive, , when done, installed ubuntu on other. lo , behold when tried boot got same error message, , can't boot windows drive. ubuntu drive new , according disk utility has no errors. problem grub or what? i'd appreciate this, i'm @ wit's end , computer oh dang messed title ...

i don't know call it, i'd take existing video music , maybe use every 4th (or whatever) video frame without changing music.  brute force method, accomplished by:   1) unlinking audio & video 2) time-shrinking video factor of 4 (or whatever).  so, i'd take 4 minute video, speed 60 seconds create .mpg file fast & short. 3) read in new fast-short video & time stretch original length. 4) add original music   this worked, it's bit cumbersome.  plus, if 4x isn't right speed-up, need start on - maybe several times. there filter or accompishes this?   thanks! your method of time-stretching /time remapping work.  particularly if intent play video @ 4x normal speed.   premiere elements has feature capturing every fourth frame or whatever built it's minidv capture software, if video coming minidv cam. hi there, ubuntu problem pisses me off. in sudden, monitor freezes , neither ctrl + alt + f2, nor ctrl + alt + del works. @ beginning thought problem caused ff , switched chrome problem consisted after day or two. then, realized whenever scroll in terminal (using wheel) ubuntu more crash. finally, crashes lot when work gedit... when scroll or when use arrow keys change bracket's position. it's being month since switched ubuntu , in beginning, 2-3 crashes day ok, now, when work gedit, crashes every 5 min. what's wrong ubuntu? help? a lot of people on natty reported (although can't seem find major thread right now), have seen no solution far. best thing can use version (10.04, 10.10 or maybe alpha 3 of oneiric).
