hello! i'm having tough time installing nvidia drivers! in previous versions, use 'proprietary drivers' thing , install current version of nvidia drivers me. i'm getting "the driver activated not in use". i'm using dell vostro 1400 8400m. i've purged nvidia , nouveau stuff, , reinstalled scratch on terminal, still cant figure out if it's being used or not! hi all,   i've found peculiar problem greyscale conversion in photoshop cs5.   the problem:   i have black , white photos in rgb colourspace. can't use black , white layer adjustment because there no colour channels in image. used 'image > mode> greyscale' menu item convert greyscale, , in photoshop there appears no change greyscale values. however, when place image in indesign, markedly different; blacks pure black greys washed out. print 2 images side side (rgb , greyscale) , come out identical (though darker expected). indesign showing rgb or greyscale differently on screen? have display settings @ 'high quality'.   i hope makes sense. it's doing head in little.   thanks!   eu. do know grayscale profile converting to   why not photoshop edit> convert profile: specific gray profile   i recall gray color spaces not exist in indesign (don't trust indesign's preview because can't display gray images accurately), trust photoshop preview...

hi, i've got serious problem setup of evga gtx560ti sc (graphics card), iiyama prolite e2200ws-b1u (monitor), lg w2453 (monitor). i'm not able detect both displays under ubuntu. tried newest nvidia geforce-drivers, still won't recognize second display. additional information: - 1 display gets recognized each boot. changes; it's not 1 display used. - using windows, every 10 boots or so, pc doesn't recognize both displays quite time. need wait few minutes or reboot. - both of these displays functioned previous graphics card. possible compatibility issue? since installing new update seem having problem scanning files pdf - first scan missed off bottom on every page after several hours of changing settings on computer , on scanner (and uninstalling printer , adobe software , reinstalling again), seems ok - quality of pdf quite poor.   i can't work out how better quality , sure pdf / adobe because when scan document , save word / tiff / jpeg, image brilliant. can't seem save of tiff / jpeg files pdf.   any ideas? above problem happening on mac , on integrated windows 7 via vmfusion ware. thanks adobe reader cannot scan or otherwise create pdf files; whatever software using scan documents has nothing adobe reader. hey, i've set horizontal spry menu bar site, , have been running problem after problem, have managed work them out. until now.   on half of pages site, drop down sumbmenu covers content of page (which want), while on other half of pages, submenu covered content of page (which don't want). went code each page make sure wasn't missing links needed spry, exact same, across board. i'm wondering if there's out there might have idea of might have went wrong.   also, i'm using rollover images menu (both main bar , submenus), there's gap between each submenu bullet list, , can't find way close gap. tried add background image entire menu, it's not working far. closest got wanted having show in 1 small section of menu.   if can me out, it'd appreciated. in advance. can post link webpage check?   -st More discussions in Dreamweaver support forum adobe

system specs: windows 7, word 2010, acrobat xi   i have highlighted several paragraphs thoughout book writing placing image behind them. these images set display behind text, leaving text readable. image provides sort of background select paragraphs.   they great in word 2010.   and pdf looked great when exported word 2007 using acrobat 9 (at least, think 9...).   but now, when convert pdf using word 2010 , acrobat xi, image gets moved in front of text; completly obscuring it.   anyone ever seen this? suggestions?   edit - clear, i'm doing conversion using pdf tools acrobat puts word when installed. i'm not sure cause can fix changing z-order (how content layers together). in acrobat xi, select edit text & graphics tool, select graphic want move behind text. next, right-click select context-sensitive menu , choose arrange > send back.
