Thread: Video problems in Ubuntu 11.04

guys, sorry if stupid here, new linux/ubuntu , trying best working.

right have compaq dc5000mt, today tried install ubuntu 11.04, having same exact problem guy having:

corrupted , flickering menus point impossible use machine, of time machine freezes after while.

thinking has related video cards, (i using integrated one)

dont know if solve problem (i dont know problems in first place) dont want spend 30 bucks nothing.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
