SQL Server option not available. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i brand new here, , can't started.

i have joomla working, installation pages, options database not appearing. have messed around php.ini-development file. have no php.ini file anywhere on system, , seem file affecting things.

i installed sqlsvr20.exe , sqlsvr30.exe php packages. sql server 2008 r2 installed on machine. iis working.

what magic piece missing let me set sql server? have read through bunch of forum help, can't find solution. in 'database type' drop down 'none'.

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
