Moving a live site to local problems - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all

i`m trying old 1.5 online site locally can upgrade 2.5 , put online. i`ve taken backup of remote site akeeba , exported sql databases.

then locally setup xampp , got running joomla 1.5. imported sql databases , copied files akeeba backup on local files
which in .. d:\xampp\htdocs\joomla15

now i`ve got front page of site , looks fine, if click on of links subpages dont appear ie object not found screen.
theyre pointing to
http://localhost/joomla15/by-camera-typ ... -menu.html
but links dont exist theyd pointing here...
http://www.cambags.com/by-camera-type/c ... -menu.html

also, can no longer onto administator side in localhost.
ie http://localhost/joomla15/administrator/
it goes main webpage.

any ideas i`m doing wrong. sorry been long time since tinkered joomla , lost.

ignoring fact didnt need database step because akeeba you. problem have sef friendly urls enabled in global configurtion dont have required .htaccess file on localhost or configured live server not localhost.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
