Best approach to a form/data problem

i'm working cs5.5. have website softball organization, 4 teams. 2 of upper level teams (16u , 18u) have "player profile" page each player contains info , stats prospective colleges , recruiters. each profile page has couple of still images , video file. these individual pages updated , maintained hand.  create page "player or parent" can login , have unique profile (just text, not pictures or video) displayed in "form" can edit/update/save , have changes reflected in profile page on website. keep info in table form in excel file. there between 12-16 player profiles per team. what need able - first display text info in player profile page dynamicaly. edit/update info - populate "form" current profile data - allow user change data - save changes data.

so.....

1st question better use data in xml file or mysql database ?  have experience dealing xml new mysql.

 

2nd given answer above, can point me tuts me started in right direction.

ideally, need content management system (cms) mysql & php driven.

 

there loads of open source frameworks use this.  first recommendation @ wordpress themes & plugins sport teams.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
