Thread: Make Shift+Numpad act as Home/End Keys

in ubuntu used keyboard option called "make shift+numpad work ms windows" or something. allowed me press example shift+numpad 7 , registered "home" key. without option shift key acts temporary numlock , it'll pick "7" instead.

regular home/end keys out of reach, wonder setting in xfce. i'm using latest xubuntu 11.04.

after grepping found solution: need add numpad:microsoft option xkboptions. on older ubuntus, in xorg.conf. on newer ones open file /etc/default/keyboard , change line:
code:
xkboptions=""
to
code:
xkboptions="numpad:microsoft"
save , reboot (restarting x doesn't seem work, @ least not ralt+printscreen+k).
