Site migration 404 An error has occurred - administrator - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

we have inherited joomla website developed else, have moved our server.

the front of site working correctly, can not access administration area - see error:

404 - error has occurred.

component not found

this first experience using joomla, i'm not sure how fix issue. have read number of posts on various forums, i'm still not clear cause.

is there missing/corrupt in joomla files or more configuration setting?

i'd love assistance please.

your administrator folder must exist because joomla site cannot work without administrator folder (a lot of files requested administrator folder generate joomla page).

in case, access backend of joomla website, need go to:

http://domainname.com/administrator

if doesn't work, might have changed backend url through 3rd party extension such admintools or rs firewall. need either backend url them or disable plugins related admintools/rs firewall database.

if else fails, check if there wrong in .htaccess file.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
