"best practice" for multilingual sites - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi,
i have questions regarding "best practice" multilingual sites.
here main information:
* original language japanese.
* checked available online translator , none of them able output correct translation when it's japanese -> other languages.
nevertheless,
* noticed translations english other languages quite understandable, when comes european languages , chinese.
so decided have site translated in english , then, have version automatically
translated other languages.
i use google translation engine, how should keep smooth , easy admin?
my website on
http://www.domain.com
i'd have translated pages showing totally independently content doesn't jam japanese content in search result, because japanese tend fly away when see alphabet results (because assume won't understand it).
so thought about
http://www.domain.com
http://www.domain.com/en/ <- manually translated english version
then
http://www.domain.com/sp/ <- automatically translated spanish version
http://www.domain.com/fr/ <- automatically translated french version
and on.
what think it? there better way it? how have each site translated different index root? take me lots of time, want make best of
sorry questions, hope made problematic clear enough might others in future.
regards , reading,
louis
