Clean install of Joomla (MAMP) - Config file not writeable - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

please help, beyond ridiculous. have installed joomla 100+ times on last 8 years , first time ever, can't beyond step 1 installing joomla 3.3.

i trying install joomla on osx system using mamp. however, apparently can't edit config file. not writeable. don't it. why/how can happening. it's machine, i'm owner, i'm admin.

please, put me out of misery. can fix permissions issue.

this normal. joomla not write file.it deletes recreate when edit in global configuration.
you may flag file, if want edit manually.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
