Thread: Canoscan LiDE 30 stopped working some time in last 6 months

hi all

lide 30 worked fine years although don't use often. still on ubuntu 10.04 , time in last 6 months suspect update has broken because both xsane , simple scan report no device present on starting program. however, lsusb finds scanner, if run sane-find-scanner in terminal finds scanner ok if run scanimage --l 'no sane devices found' reported. scanner correctly listed in config file, doesn't matter usb ports use, front or , scanner works fine on shuttle downstairs running mythbuntu 11.04.

can shed light on grateful.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
