"Path is not a folder" 'install from web' error (Windows) - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm finding extensions not install web. following error:

error
archive not exist

warning

jinstaller: :install: cannot find joomla xml setup file


joomla's system information confirms tmp folder writable, , have assured myself folder permissions ok (especially iusr_ account).

i note first asked following joomla:

please confirm installation clicking on install button
extension name: k2
install from: http://getk2.org/downloads/?f=k2_v2.6.8.zip


i note following php warning generated:

php warning: file_put_contents(c:\apache\htdocs\myweb\tmp\?f=k2_v2.6.8.zip): failed open stream: no such file or directory in c:\apache\htdocs\myweb\libraries\joomla\filesystem\file.php on line 431.


i suspect problem related joomla code not correctly extracting suitable filename extension download using extension's url, i.e. not removing ?f= url filename leave "k2_v2.6.8.zip". , windows (unlike linux?) won't create filename '?' or '=' in it.

have found bug?

my workaround manually download extension , use 'upload package file".

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
