Thread: second life issue

hello ppl, im trying play game second life on ubuntu laptop, dell latitude e6400,
im running ubuntu 11.04, downloaded this sit and extracted run install through terminal , didnt work because wont when go unity , open second life, tried run straight directory "second life" , didnt work because when run screen flickers , second life windows opens split second disappears. dont see errors in terminal , maybe means

maybe stuff in red means something, not quiet sure make of it,

have tried install graphic drivers (thinking issue) , not successful when fallowing this websit..... got tons of errors , have check this out not 100% sure if necessary, feel more issue video card possibly, run

any ? id appreciate it.

such integrated gfx not made run 3d games. try googling second life gma 4500hd , see.

if running (try phoenix viewer) pretty gutless, laggy, glitchy, slow render using lowest graphics settings + tweaking advanced menu.

or maybe try based on v1 viewer singularity viewer or cool viewer vl. (it still run badly )


2007 post on how badly sl runs on dell 6400 gma 4500 http://forums-archive.secondlife.com.../320434/1.html , have got worse since sl gets more gfx hungry.
