Planning challenge.... - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all,

here situation.
1 company, 2 divisions in 2 different language. hosted @ same hosting company has requirements joomla! 3.x. divisions have own domain names pointing @ different folders under mother company. today installed static "under construction" page... lol.

mycompany.net (/)
division-a-fr.com (/divisionafr)
division-a-en.com(/divisionaen)
division-b-fr.com (/divisionbfr)
division-b-en.com(/divisionben)

i plan on using same template across divisions different set of colors between , b.

so how should go this? possible under 1 joomla! instance? should go 2 multi-lingual installations, if that's possible?

don't hesitate ask more information. in advance help.

well, domain names cheapest part of whole deal, wouldn't let ill-advised choice of domain names keep me offering them advice...
dual language sites not tough trying handle 3 or more languages, particularly if fluent in both , can own translation.

why not let purpose(s) of sites dictate structure? "mother company" serious business in own right, or happen own 2 businesses? if they're holding company, they're concerned investor relations, , not particularly care branding. in case, there little or nothing gained running divisional sites subdomains.

what types of people divisions trying reach? 2 totally discrete groups, or coincide? how trying reach exact same person?

if don't have answers questions , 100 more, you're not prepared them make decisions.
