Exporting parameters when I have mixed codecs on my timeline
hi
i trying understand how set export parameters when exporting timeline color correction resolve mix of footage different cameras, different bit depth , color space.
if time line mix of prores 4444 (12 bit) alexa (log c), prores 422 (10 bit) sony f3 (via samurai) (log s), cineform go pro footage, , h.264 canon 5d, set export settings match highest bit depth , codec density of alexa footage? assuming if set export prores 4444 not gain new information in spare channels 8 bit h.264 footage, instance, stay original files as possible because seems every time transcode, risk of sort of gamma shift gets introduced. ideally, since 90% of footage alexa or sony f3, attempting keep consistent prores pipeline start finish (obviously small exception of random go pro , 5d shots) possible.
my colorist 1 job has recommeded export uncompressed him , allow him greatest latitude coloring. okay small jobs enormous of length.
i appreciate help
i'd expect colorist want work on individual clips, not 1 single edited file.
