Experiencing problems in developing DNG in Lightroom 4.3 win7 64 (Catalog/DNG metadata sync fails?)

after upgrading lightroom 4.3 in windows 7 64bit random problems during dng developing. first problem: lr during developing shows on image thumbnail exclamation mark icon of "metadata conflict" warning (see attached screen snapshot). problem occurs when external program (i.e. ps) has modified dng file , lr catalog not synchronized. of course no modification @ has been done externally software lr itself! seems problem of dng/catalog sync in cases fails (very disappointing). second problem black exclamation mark (see again attached screen snapshot) means problems during reading dng!! problem absolutely random too. developing still possible on files , problem disappear ...

this problems don't affect proprietary raw files (nef nikon d300s) , i've never seen them in lightroom 4.2.

thanks in advance help.

the black exclamayion mark lr's indication image has not been updated current (2012) process version (pv).

if directly click on exclamation mark, dialog box appear asking update image. also, in develop module in camera calibration panel can select 3 pvs.

updating current pv no means mandatory images have been developed in lr versions prior lr4. should decided each image individually - pv 2012 gives better results, not always.

as long image has not been updated pv 2012 develop panels on right side appear did in lr 3, when update pv 2012 appearance changes.

the conflict warning has reasons complicated, , ongoing occurrence since lr 3  (or earlier), this:

the "metadata conflict" warning can safely disregard. if bothers much, uncheck <automatically save changes xmp> in catalog settings / metadata tab. will  disappear.

you need <automatically save changes xmp> if need see lr edits correctly displayed in bridge. xmp information shuttle between lr , other adobe products can read xmp.
