i brand new joomla. went out , bought "joomla bible" , began reading. said "joomla easy install , use" knew in trouble. have spent 3 days trying install xampp first , after figuring out belonged proceeded joomla installer. way, trying install locally. have server installed along sql , php servers , start fine.

when second page of joomla installation labeled "database configuration" hit brick wall. there never point until named database yet page asks database name. in joomla bible page 29 exact, there "note" says "in previous versions of joomla necessary create database, prior running installer no longer case."

ok, if no longer necessary create database, why during joomla installation require me put in database name on database configuration page??? never recall step point named database how possibly put name in required box?

sure servers on , running cannot beyond part of joomla installation. frustrating because looking forward learning , playing joomla on computer , yet cannot point.

any , suggestions welcome. not understand go here. time. hope solution simple overlooked.

in localhost environment such xampp on windows, if give database name, created you. have installed xampp? environment?

if using host services have following:
- create new database
- create new user
- assign user database , @ time grant privileges user

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
