Thread: How to tell xfce to NOT DRAW ANY PIXELS on the edges of the screen.

i running ubuntu natty xfce 4.8 desktop on tiny computer called beagleboard-xm. issue see on display partially cut off because display resolution on beagleboard set resolution different screen, non-standard size. (wearable computer project)

beagleboard things according own specific software, complicates things. doesn't seem possible change in xfce settings manager (only 1 setting allowed, others greyed out) nor changing xorg.conf. (there no xorg.conf on beagleboard, beagle gets info directly display driver. i'm trying figure out how fix problem in beagle display driver, thinking simpler way fix problem tell xfce not draw pixels on edges of thinks screen is. in other words, how 1 tell xfce draw screen square smaller area of monitor? experiment on desktop machine, , when saw xfce leaving blank space on borders, apply beagle. can't figure out how 1 go doing... can't think of need google- proper terminology type of task? such pointers appreciated.

um, sorry, yeah anyways 90% solved own problem. did made panels on edges of screen cut off. mouse can still go off screen, windows not open outside of screen, major problem. kludge-y works.
