Some users cannot open log file for writing - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

so created joomla site super admin user given @ installation of joomla. tried adding new users via administration panel. enter username, email , name, no password.

then when try logging in newly created users error:

cannot open file writing log

it doesn't let me access admin panel new users, can still use super admin.
i checked directory permissions , log folder indeed unwriteable, don't know why. tried creating new log folder didn't help.
the path should correct because used same structure temp folder, writeable.

how can fix this?

i don't think add user blank password? possible? error message getting states joomla unable write log file when user tries login invalid username / password.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

lately i've been trying out lots of old windows games (on cd's bought legally) have lying around on wine heck of it. 5 or 6 years old , many don't run on windows 7! been hit or miss. what's worked reliably install game on old windows xp desktop, this: copy relevant folder in program files (for example: c:/program files/warcraft iii) of windows computer usb stick. paste in linux directory (anywhere) configure wine d: drive point @ d: drive, ex: /media/warcraft iii/ find promising .exe file in folder copied windows (like warcraft3.exe) , execute wine. , works charm games! however, in ubuntu think i've installed (while running linux, put cd drive, open installer, install) , run 1 program in linux successfully. happens this: cd automatically mounts, , configure wine's d: drive in /media/warcraft iii/ i'll run installer.exe wine wait game install, seems work fine next time try start game, says "please insert warcraft iii cd...
