Thread: ubuntu does not install either by live cd or wubi

i have ibm a20m laptop in installed lucid lynx. worked on year , happy it. somehow got corrupted; stopped booting , got blank screen tried reinstall lucid live cd. not install! got blank screen right after selecting "install ubuntu". tried install natty narwhal via wubi run along windows 2000. downloaded wubi.exe , iso , files installed fine. when rebooted complete installation, froze live cd. when boot in verbose mode, following messages near end:

isapnp: scanning pnpcards...

serial 0000:00:03.1 : sharing irq 11 0000:00:03.0

same messages when try install using live cd (noquiet mode).

mystery me windows 2000 runs fine on laptop. , did have ubuntu running fine on same exact laptop on year!

have ideas how can ubuntu back? or stuck windows 2000 (which means
laptop go dustbin)?

ok, found solution, windows 2000 , not due ubuntu error messages.

went windows 2000 looked ubuntu no longer work on a20m. reinstalling drivers, noticed not install v.90 modem. after several attempts, gave up. no 1 uses modem, decided remove mini pci card. thought might reason why ubuntu failed install. after removed card, live cd install worked!

give 10 points windows error messages , null points ubuntu. ain't typical of linux?

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
