Thread: Sound is back - ludicrously simple!

i'm not saying solution everybody, but... thought i'd mention because have fresh install of ubuntu lucid (10.04), after having emigrated fresh install of kubuntu 10.04 - , neither kubuntu nor ubuntu gave me sound laptop speakers, mini jack , usb speakers.

i'm saying did not trash sound, went away after forget kernel update, , no reinstall of kubuntu or ubuntu bring back.

have been fretting weeks. today revisited page:

far down page find this:
in system/administration/users , groups, make sure normal user , root user members of following 5 groups:

pulse

pulse-access

pulse-rt

audio

video

well, believe it: not member of of these groups. groups there. name listed below, check box beside name not checked.

if have had sound before, , lost it, go check users , groups. may have been "unchecked" member of above groups during kernel update.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
