i having few critical issues on site.
one challange have when link article within image description of galleri: see topic: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=624&t=838813
but have more critical issue. in admin, when enter options of e.g. phoca, joomfish, joomla language manager , others, not open in pop-up window in parent window. , when pressing close or save , close site freezes. have press "return" admin interface?
it seems site having several issues , considering beginning over? recommend. , if starting on - there easy way transfer articles, folder structure etc (which time consuming).

it sounds possible installation not transferred cleanly or other cause has done damage admin template. before that, here's possible (doubtful) quick fix.
before this, try deleting browser cookies own site. it's rarer in 2.5 in 3, conflicting cookie/session data can cause admin ui bugs. if you're not sure how this, google can tell how delete cookies whichever browser use. ones own site need deleted; deleting cookies logs out of associated site, may want limit cookie deletion own site, if possible.
however, doubt above help. said, sounds possible files damaged during deployment/upload, or perhaps via editing, etc. so, next, change admin template, , see if makes things behave better. switch via extensions -> template manager, clicking radio button , clicking "default" button (or click empty star next template start using new default). bear in mind we're talking switching administrator template - careful, note location column in template manager.
if template manager won't let switch default admin template because of buttons not working, can done via phpmyadmin in (jos)_template_styles table. entries "client_id" equal 1, admin templates; bluestork, hathor, , others might have installed. "home" column sets default template , "client_id" column sets whether site template or admin template. super clear: in table, out of templates in site, 2 have "home" equal 1; site template, have "client_id" equal 0, , admin template, have "cilent_id" equal 1.
e.g. if hathor current entry in (jos)_template_styles both client_id = 1 , home = 1, switch bluestork doing this:
- make sure nobody's going log joomla admin few minutes.
- click pencil next hathor; change home 0 (under value column); click go, save.
- click pencil next bluestork; change home 1; click go.
reverse if bluestork current default.
if fixes issue other template damaged. assuming either bluestork or hathor, both bundled joomla; download full joomla zip version of 2.5 (it's not big) , extract temp folder on desktop, , upload zip's contents of /administrator/templates/whichever/ same folder on site. once you've re-uploaded afresh, can switch admin template , check whether it's fixed.
if doing fixes problems admin template using may have other, less-obvious problems arising same cause. keep full joomla zip handy; watch site symptoms and/or site's error logs details; don't need begin over. above, if file in joomla damaged, track down file is, , re-upload fresh copy restore proper order.
