CF Performance / Timeout Problems
hi,
we developing , hosting site client around ~3 million pages , around 600k visitors per month. switched new server , in process upgraded cf10 cf8. many things images, downloads , video streaming done via external cdns. problem having right server/site produces timeouts , gets time time slower point it's dead. after reboot of virtual machine snappy , great again. may take day or week - there no logic it. while site snappy cfstat shows occasional timeout can't explain. funny thing server isn't problem - on hardware site uses ~10% cpu power , yet coldfusion runs slow.
just quick facts:
2 x intel® xeon® x5650 hexa core (6 x 2,66 ghz, 12 mb l3 cache)
ram: 16 gb
4 x 300 gb sas 15krpm 3,5
cf running in virtual machine virtualized via vmware esxi. runs mysql on same virtual machine.
but more specific question. created new virtual machine , running load tests on tweak , find problem. seems after update 5 got bit better. still unusual timeouts / slow downs every ~2 minutes. dumbed down our load tests 1 single cfm file has 1 query in , standard / empty application.cfc. duplicated code php , executing exact same query php. php load tests shows no timeouts / errors whatsoever. coldfusion loadtest shows timeouts every ~2 minutes or (not exactly, damn close 2 minutes). have no idea what's causing this. server pretty vanilla installation (we tried centos , ubuntu). there no memory problems can see in cf server monitor. 2 minute errors not caused garbage collection. attached 2 pictures - first coldfusion loadtest , second php loadtest.
does have ideas might cause this? running out of ideas here.
could garbage collection in jvm? make sure have latest updaters cf10.
i'd suggest downloading 10 day free trial of http://www.fusion-reactor.com/fr/ , see says. show memory issues, database issues, , slow pages. use everyday monitor our sites.
p.s. not work them or benefit sale of product...
cheers!
