Thread: Problem with msttcorefonts

hello, i've been installing steam on ubuntu (11.04), , during installation, needed install microsoft font package, msttcorefonts. i'm pretty sure need font package in order run programs properly, don't think can rid of it. however, i've noticed when have installed, fonts in firefox different, , don't quite it. there way can have package installed, keep other program's fonts same?

do mean font in firefox application different (which strange) or fonts on web pages different?

latter case normal, web pages don't have fixed fonts or direct control on such things, have list of preferred fonts , order them. browser checks if first listed fotn available on system, if ten it's used, if not browser checks if next listed font available, , on until using default font configured in browser's settings.

world is quite windows-centric, it's pretty common web pages built use microsoft fonts. you'll see if have fonts installed.

can define default font in browser's settings, , tell not allow web pages use other fonts. in firefox go edit/preferences/appearance, click advanced-button in fonts & colors-section. set fonts want , disable "allow pages choose own fonts"-option.

may break pages, though, if badly designed , designer didn't understand fonts , font sizes might change depending on viewing page, fonts has installed , how has configured them.

(another option use firefox extension stylish make own font definitions on each site you'd change, might lot of work , requires fair knowledge of css)

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
