Thread: tcp_syn_retries - changing has no effect ??

changing:

net.ipv4.tcp_syn_retries

5 other value has no effect on initial tcp connect timeouts.

furthermore, default of '5' documented here:

http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...an7/tcp.7.html

result of 180 seconds.

see on system 3 seconds only.

after permanent change in sysctl.conf , reboot, still see 3 seconds.

system 11.04, natty current maintenance.

there missing, or bug?

misc info: type of change works advertised on redhat/fedora systems ......

appreciate or guidance.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
