e-newsletter using Dreamweaver

can recommend book on how create e-newsletter using dreamweaver

i doubt there's book available. there handful of rules follow creating html html email in dw.

1. use css sparingly. external css files won't work in email clients , <head> tags stripped in others, embedded css isn't rely on either. if need use css , don't mind email clients not seeing it, can use inline styles.

2. because css unreliable, using old fashioned table layouts norm.

3. absolute links only. goes links images , files. relative links wouldn't work unless user download zip file contining of images , pages, open it. that's never going happen, need link of images files you've uploaded server somewhere.

4. due spam filtering software, careful of using image based layout without large block of html text. make sure use alt attributes images in case not downloaded recipient's email client.

5. keep small, width wise. people not open email application full screen. scrolling left right annoying. staying around 600px or (imho) helps keep happening recipients.

6. don't email 1000's of people yourself. use service http://www.icontact.com or similar mass email service provider. it's easy set off corporate level spam filters if use personal email send out mass newsletter or marketing piece , sucks blocked yahoo, hotmail or gmail @ personal address.
