Clueless QT Guy Seeks Windows Codec Advice

ladies/gents:

 

for first time in life, have make make movies other quicktimes.  have never had deal avis, windows media... have you.  i've been 100% quicktime maker , user, , have no clue start.  none.

 

i'll need lossless codec, codec similar prores 422, , codec supports alpha channels.  both client , run win 7 if makes difference in choice.

 

do have suggestions codecs , media container enclose them?  don't mind little reaearch, point me in right direction.

haven't tried myself, lately recommending avid dnxhd codec - http://www.avid.com/us/industries/workflow/dnxhd-codec

 

don't know alpha channel though.

 

as long time matrox user, i'm used working mpeg-2 i-frame hd 4:2:2 codec (100-300mbps user selectable), offer alpha channel version, don't know how quality measures prores or dnxhd, both newer codecs.

there's lagarith codec, again don't know if alpha.

Multilanguage infinite redirect loop error. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

trim media limit reached

hello,   i have installed adobe premiere cs 6....and have trouble videos transitions----->cross disolve. normally not problem, when drag , drop videos transitions, can't drag transitions longer in sequence without comment :trim media limit reached.... so can't work on transition.........   how can solve it, should don't find it...   thanks help.......... you cant make transition past end of source clip.  ie dont have enough media.   transitions made overlapping media .   someone post image illustrates this.
