Thread: wireless networks: device not ready(firmware missing)


hi,
i've updated ubuntu 10.10 11.04, nd in both of formats

having same problem network wireless.

m having problems wireless connection,i've read 1 else's posts nd

asks command work: may knowing problem

lspci -vnn |grep 14e4

lspci commands says:

03:00.0 network controller [0280] : broadcom corporation bcm4312 802.1lb/g lp-phy

[14e4:4315] (rev 01)

not sounds foolish you:]

if need thing plz suggest

suggestion

if can connect via hard-wired connection router, so. following:
  • open terminal window
  • type: sudo apt-get update <press enter>
  • wait above complete
  • go system/administration/additional drivers (may called different if using unity desktop). should run while , connect net try download drivers.
  • when above finishes, if there driver shown wireless not enabled, try enabling it.
