Capturing video from a DVD
my daughter's dance recitals put on dvds (by dance studio) , i'd capture video , put movies i'm creating in premiere. how capture video dvds?
this depend on over dvd.
if dvd-video, play on computer dvd software players, or set-top player, attached tv, then, if dvd 100% compliant dvd-specs., 1 place dvd multi-drive, find video_ts folder, ifo, bup , vob files. easiest copy video_ts computer's hdd, , import vob's (just ignore small ifo , bup files), ntsc, or pal, dv project in either widescreen 16:9, or standard 4:3, depending on how dvd-video authored. if 100% dvd-compliant, vob's should import fine, , 1 drag them timeline edit. more info, see article: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2298534#2298534
if, instead of dvd-video, dvd-data, av files, depend on av files.
i assume dvd-video, if not, let know, , can progress there.
good luck,
hunt
