Loading a template in a modal window (or load custom CSS/JS) - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i building site using hikashop , 1 of requirements have been given implement "quickshop" capability seen in sites jcrew.

essentially, product has attributes such small, medium, large , cannot placed in cart without first choosing attribute. other products can placed in cart directly category view in hikashop products attributes instead of "add cart" have button called "choose options".

the job consists of making link open in modal window displaying component.
the problem modal window loading absolutely no js or css of sort.

what either make modal window load separate template build same js , css positions need , main component or, better yet should load separate layout same template using, except layout have position need.

problem have absolutely no clue how this.

hi, think, depends on link modal window. e.g. in modal window can display html site, , such site needs have url link parameters. link modal should have parameters decide css or js loaded.

e.g. link modal: ...com_yourcomponent&view=something&tmpl=component&paramter=1

you can set in view if there parameter=1, specific css , js loaded.

mostly there parameter tmpl=component, says, there should not loaded menu items, component content - such view has own specific design css , js can loaded there (mostly such specific designs stored in template folder)
