Individual Templates for content - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi forum
i applied different templates distinct menus (menu using template a, menu b using template b).
but have set 1 of templates default template, thus, editor uses standard template.
since have different styles in each template, need tell editor use template assigned menu.
this doesn't work, though, since can't bind template content, menu.
how tell editor use different css content?

as far know, alternate template choice attachable menu items. many things keyed off menu system.
if find need feature, such or sef urls, don't want nav scheme enslaved necessity, can use hidden menus (meaning menu either isn't given module, or menu's module isn't shown user) place menu items in, triggering necessary features without affecting front-end design.
if items link-to in way need given urls appear subfolders of things supposed visible in menus, can:
- move original parent menu item -- menu item in visible menu has url want treat parent folder url in hidden menu -- hidden menu.
- put alias (menu item type system links - menu item alias) in visible menu replace original; point @ original moved.
- child hidden links alias; should take visible menu item's url prefix.
the situation stand improvement eventually, joomla's complexity demanded pick paradigm , stick it, , picked menu. someday, things become more flexible, in meantime, works
