Thread: iPod mounting issue


i'm new ubuntu , i've been trying ipod work.
i'm using ubuntu 10.1.
have both gtkpod , amarok. put in command sudo mkdir /media/ipod in terminal added
/dev/sdc2 /media/ipod vfat nosuid,noauto,nodev,rw,umask=077,gid=1000,uid=1000 ,user,defaults,noatime,iocharset=utf8 0 0
fstab. ipod showed in places when try open error message
unable mount ipod
mount: special device /dev/sdc2 not exist

basically, have no idea now. if please explain me that'd great.

plug in ipod , do

fdisk -l
note:where "-l" lowercase of "-l"
post here teh results. have assigned wrong device name.
