Windows 8 Pro Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.1.23 x64 not responding
on new ssd fresh install of windows 8 pro , adobe cs6 design , web premium, regularly "(not responding)" warning in bridge's (5.0.1.23 x64) title bar when opening folder location, , program takes around 10-20 seconds display folder contents. seems indexing or caching issue, have not resolved through following fix attempts.
in bridge settings, have placed cache on os ssd @ "c:\users\york\appdata\roaming\adobe\bridge cs6\cache", , have placed on separate internal physical hdd @ "d:\adobe bridge cs6 temp cache". have experimented other options (100% previews, export, manage, compact, , purge cache - restarting app after each tweak).
i have ctrl-opened bridge access "reset setting" dialog box, restored default preferences , purged cache. did seem alleviate problem temporarily, did not resolve it.
i have not uninstalled, repaired, or re-installed bridge because not listed standalone app in "windows control panel > programs , features > uninstall or change program" window or adobe cs6 design , web premium installer.
my system intel i7-2600k, asus maximus iv gene-z, nvidia geforce gtx 560 ti, 32gb ram, samsung 840 250gb ssd, various hdds.
my other system, intel quad-core q6600, asus p5q-pro, amd radeon hd 6950, 8gb ram, samsung 840 250gb ssd, various hdds, not have problem.
any thoughts appreciated.
don't know if adobe has fixed yet lot of ssd users having problems when moved temp file c drive. in boat?
