AME Crashes Problem

i trying change .mxf video shot canon xf100 quicktime .mov in media encoder. have cs6 production pro, media encoder version 6.0.0.382. i'm working on imac running 10.6.8. have nothing else running on imac can conversion done faster. @ stage, don't need editing of clips, turn them files workable without canon xf utility software. fact premiere pro 6 still can't natively read canon mxf files not @ issue, have issues that.

 

for of clips, i'm not having problem switching them over, there happen more few single clip saved in multiple parts. example: clip 0051 005101.mxf, clip 0052 005201.mxf, 005202.mxf, , 005203.mxf. these clips in multiple parts, media encoder not crashes computer (giving me spinning pinwheel moment), turns off.

 

at first converting clips directly external hd, began downloading clips computer convert them faster rate of conversion. i'm skipping clips in multiple parts , not having problems. though, need convert multiple part clips usable file format. i've deduced it's longer files in multiple parts. canon xf utility software recognizes multiple parts 1 clip , plays them such.

 

is there adjustment need (or can) make multiple part clips allow media encoder create single new file without crashing? i'd happy multiple files each part long doesn't crash.

 

please help. began using cs6 production yesterday , have no idea how begin fix problem- since can't clips in premiere until convert them in media encoder.

there have been many bug-fix updates since version 6.0.0 released. begin by installing recent updates.
