Page load errors in IE and Safari, fine in Firefox and Chrom - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i've got site based on joomla 2.5 has strange behavior... displays fine in firefox , chrome, displays raw code in safari, , tries download in ie instead of loading page. if download page in ie , open ie, renders correctly.

after trying muddle through code on own, contacted hosting provider , explained problem, looked through server settings verify worked. after consideration , research, both thought related mime type of page - ie seems think has none, @ least.

with in mind, tried add line top php section of template's index.php
header('content-type: text/html');
and tried modifying web.config file classify .php text/html , application/x-httpd-php, neither seems have worked.

i've verified server caching off, seems have caused problems in related cases.


any ideas of what's going on? it's not particularly elaborate site, need work on platforms. don't know enough system returns , know if php line in right place/document, don't know if proposed fix work... site in question medpants.com, , while occurs other pages, issue present main homepage.

i tried browsing site on ie , it's asking me "do want open or save cakz9xi4 (13.5 kb) medpants.com?" beside there 3 boxes: open, save , cancel. did not proceed anymore. javascript error?
