Strange Photoshop CS4 display issue in Windows7 SP1 64-bit

can please me this? going crazy on chronic , persistent problem. computer windows7 sp1 64-bit os on 4gb ram lenovo system. have photoshop cs4 installed in it. have strange display problem started - don't know why.

 

the brush cursors (which open circle) in of following tools - healing brush, clone tool, eraser, blur tool - disappearing when start use them. tool does function supposed to, can't see open circle cursor; cursor disappears completely. makes difficult work around fine edges.

 

secondly, manipulation type tool doesn't appear on screen immediately. when type, type tool cursor moves, no letters/characters appear on screen; same if use backspace key delete something. if wish move type layer move tool, doesn't appear happening on screen. , yet, tool does function, because if minimize window , maximize again, or if shift between multiple open windows , return original window, characters appear wherever supposed be. whatever change make type layer doesn't appear on screen immediately. have switch focus (by visiting window or minimizing-maximizing work window) in order see changes.

 

i know kind of display issue. can't figure out or how rectify it. no other program on computer mis-behaving similarly. have tried uninstalling , reinstalling ps cs4, didn't help. doesn't appear ram issue, because don't run multiple applications (except windows explorer) when working on ps cs4.

 

there no error message of kind. problem occurs whenever functions requires me manipulate cursor precisely on screen. otherwise, global functions, such brightness, contrast, level, etc. adjustment or working layers , forth, there no problem.

 

please let me know if problem statement unclear somewhere. in advance help.

sounds lot old video driver issues.

 

check gpu maker's website driver updates.
