Thread: vnc not working

hello everyone.

run server , can access remotely. use ssh , vnc. far away , while in college. house had power failure , vnc no longer work. ssh works fine can remote in way when connect vnc doesn't fail hangs forever. ideas?

i suppose using remote desktop.

connect remote server using option -x (x11 forwarding enabled):

code:

ssh -x remote_server

then can open remote desktop preferences menu on remote server typing command:

code:

vino-preferences &

check if vnc configuration correct.

if need access home's router/modem in order check port forwarding, can open firefox remotely typing:

code:

firefox &
