Too many modules? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm getting 2.3sec server response time, contacted hostgator , said have many modules ( have 40). simple modules. "login" module.
anyways, wanted opinions if have many modules.
i spend days on optimizing >:(
is 40 modules many?

i'm using cloudflare pro + shared server+jch optimize. 3.6sec load time.

it depends on modules using. simple login module should not affect performance if using module runs queries , other stuff might affect website performance.

hello, wondering if can assign 1 article 1 user edit it. i making website faculty want user: prof. x edit article prof. x(article detailes of him..birth year,books written him),prof. y prof y article , on.. is possible, please me. thank much. anything possible joomla. 1) create new user group example name " xgroup " , parent group "registered". 2) set " xuser " belong xgroup. 3) "article manager" in backend open article want " xuser " able edit , set permissions: chose " xgroup ", change edit parametter "inherited" "allowed" push save button. that's , is full? let me know.
