calculate function in repeating subform (multiple repeated tables)

i work @ university (see below) , using adobe livecycle designer es 8.2 create forms. have problem form need with. problem in coursestructuredetailssubform, particularly in subjectdetailstable , creditdetailstable.

 

i need able repeat whole section, , have different outcomes in creditdetailstable if entries vary in subjectdetailstable.

 

 

this how have added new, repeating section:

 

form1.coursestructuresubform.coursestructuredetailssubform.addremovetable.row1.subform19.b utton33::click - (javascript, client)

coursestructuredetailssubform.instancemanager.addinstance(1);

 

the total credit points item supposed sum of column above , used in credit details table..

 

this calculation text:

 

form1.coursestructuresubform.coursestructuredetailssubform.subjectdetailstable.footerrow.t otalcreditpoints::calculate - (javascript, client)

sum(subjectdetailstable.row1[*].points[*])

 

this sum used (using global binding on field name) in creditdetailstable.  can’t let me use different information – keeps overwriting same

this example of 1 of things supposed do:

 

form1.coursestructuresubform.coursestructuredetailssubform.creditdetailstable.row1.maxcred ittable.row1.maxsubjects::calculate - (formcalc, client)

(maxcredittable.row1.totalcreditpoints)

/15;

 

i feel such idiot, can't work out how attach file can see it, need me @ all!!

eg: might have 3 rows in subjectdetailstable summing 75 points in totalcreditpoints field.

then add whole section second time , have 4 rows in subjectdetailstable totaling 135 in totalcreditpoints field. second value either overwrites first or first overwrites second. (it varies, depending on other attempts change things). anyway, took out of global binding etc , sum facility , still can’t creditdetailstable use multiple inputs field  labeled 3.6a.

 

i pretty sure has needing create index or count change inputs allow each instance of subform (something “this.rawvalue=this.parent.value+1”) don’t know should indexed or counted , terms mean. pretty self taught , forum gives me great answers can’t work out this. (apart helping problem, there decent on-line tutorial on javascript/formcalc recommend?)

 

any suggestions? happy send file if me work out how attach it!! please help!!! (too many exclamation points getting desperate)
