Thread: x11vnc+kdm => KDE is not starting

i'm trying install , use vnc on kubuntu 10.04 headless computer, , kdm working, after type login/pass , login kde, xorg crashing.


config solution install "xserver-xorg-video-dummy" package , edit xorg.conf lines as:

section "device"    driver "dummy"  ...  section "monitor"    "connectedmonitor" "lcd"  ...

and code /etc/kde4/kdm/xsetup (to start x11vnc kdm):

/usr/bin/x11vnc -o /var/log/x11vnc.log -display :0 -rfbauth /etc/x11vnc.pass -forever -bg

p.s. found problem, it's not in kde/vnc, it's in user profile somewhere. i've created new user , working now.

please me, i'm doing wrong?

p.s. "xinet.d+x11vnc" i've seen on google not working @ all. need access kdm , kde both via vnc.
