hi all, have tiny annoying issue printing when using postscript driver hp color laserjet 2840 mfp. print random characters in document boxes. if change foomatic driver prints - lose ability change lot of driver settings use (paper type, weight etc.). if point me in right direction of solution i'd really grateful - 1 other pc in building has same problem, rest print fine. btw - font use (for coroprate work) urw gothic l, comes ubuntu... i'm not sure problem displays on screen. once again, gratefully received, it's driving me mad! sorry bump, have ideas?     have users on both cs4 , cs6, using pcs.  how can determine on platform file generated?  apparently properties more clear on macs.  i not aware properties differ in way according whether view them on windows or mac.   a pdf has space store name of application made pdf, , software (perhaps same) did conversion. file > properties shows these. information may or may not tell want, won't see more on mac. have downloaded new version lr4.3 file 3 times on 2 different windows 7 pc's , keep getting same error message of cannot extract archive- download again.  dont think downloading again solution.   it fails in file extraction process.   anyone else find problem?  solutions?   cheers, have tried different internet connection?  if have had problems on 2 separate computers unlikely software issue. joomla version: 2.5.20 php version: 5.3.17 web server: microsoft-iis/7.5 i'm having issue in admin side of joomla. part, loads ok , have no issues it, save 1 specific part: "manage" option under extensions menu. can access extension manager no issue , install extensions without issues. can access of tabs under extension manager without problems except "manage" tab. when click on "manage" page loads , loads , comes blank, white page. no error message, no generic 404 message, nothing. i'd take screen shot, you'd see white page. the address bar show url of index.php?option=com_installer&view=manage, know it's @ least getting manage page. here, i'm stuck. any suggestions? it might page trying data remotely, can't. debugging painful. suggest overwrite administrator folder fresh copy (unless, of course, you're using modified core) , see if solves problem. note: possible website hacked. is there way check problems/errors during bootup, such checking log files? reason bootup process doesn't pretty @ moment. after selecting os among 4 installed linux varieties grub menu, screen flickers numerous times between black , black, way long, leading splash screen showing couple of seconds before login screen appears. looked better before last fiddling splash screen... tried out couple of alternative splash screens (using super-boot-manager or similar application), before going default. noticed time screen flickering during bootup seemed have increased (was never good, @ least less intrusive). i'm on xubuntu 11.04 @ moment. liquify smart filter definitively long waited feature found issue it. i made smart object layer, applied liquify, next change document ratio crop tool...you see, different pixels liquified now. dissapointing i've reported issue already. why how smart filters work. when change document smart filter them redone. if change document aspect ratio deleting content can imagine trying apply filter liquify may mess.  no real harm has been done nondestructive edit readjust setting or discard smart filter , add new 1 documents new aspect ratio , layer different content. if not want happen rasterzise smart object layer before crop apply liquify..
